TGRs Swedish Bridge Trip 27th June - 1 July 2010

On a bright Essex Sunday morning, Marilyn and Artur Malinowksi joined a keen group of bridge enthusiasts for the flight to Goteborg.
On arrival in Sweden, Swedish host Anna Roos Karlsson accompanied everyone to an idyllic seaside setting in woodlands. Accommodation was grim, but the food was to die for - contemporary Swedish cuisine followed drinks each evening. Bridge seminars took place each evening before a session of play. All the players had a different partner each session, with everyone mixing and matching throughout the week. For one afternoon players from a local club joined us for a hearty challenge!
We also enjoyed two trips through the spectacular Swedish countryside.
The week's eventual bridge winner was decided by a very technical method, which ensured everyone saw even more than they had bargained for!
There was something for everyone, ages ranged from mid 40s through to players in their 80s, and there was a good mix of men and women.
